Role Summary & Key Responsibilities

As an Odoo Functional Consultant at HST Technologies, you will take ownership of the functional delivery across client engagements. This includes translating business requirements into working Odoo configurations, facilitating discovery workshops, and ensuring every delivered solution is aligned with how the client actually operates. You will work across multiple industries and geographies, gaining hands-on experience with diverse business processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and business process mapping workshops with clients to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements
• Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional process flows for client sign-off
• Configure and set up Odoo modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (BoM/MRP), Accounting, POS, HR, and Project Management
• Prepare and deliver customized Odoo demos aligned with client-specific workflows
• Plan and execute master data migration strategies, including data cleansing, import template preparation, and post-import validation
• Work closely with the technical team to translate functional specs into clear development briefs for custom modules, reports, or workflow modifications
• Deliver end-user and admin-level training sessions, ensuring client teams are fully onboarded and confident ahead of go-live
• Provide go-live cutover support and manage post-implementation helpdesk tickets across P1, P2, and P3 priority levels
• Prepare SOPs, configuration guides, and project handover documentation for each engagement
• Support pre-sales activities such as solution scoping calls, effort estimation, and proposal development
• Stay current with Odoo releases, new module features, and regional compliance requirements (ZATCA, FBR/PRA)

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Odoo ERP (Community or Enterprise, version 14 or above)
• Proven track record of at least 3 full-cycle Odoo implementations (discovery through go-live)
• Strong functional knowledge of core Odoo modules: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and at least one of Manufacturing, POS, or HR
• Experience gathering business requirements, writing BRDs, and mapping business processes
• Self-sufficient in configuring Odoo for standard functional requirements without developer dependency
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and chart of accounts configuration
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead client workshops, deliver solution demos, and produce clear functional documentation
• Analytical mindset with a structured, methodical approach to ERP implementation and issue resolution
• Fluent English (written and verbal); Arabic is a strong advantage for Gulf-region clients

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Odoo Functional Certification is highly preferred

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Odoo Studio or basic Python/XML customization for views and reports
• Working knowledge of regional tax and e-invoicing compliance such as ZATCA Phase 2 (Saudi Arabia), FBR/PRA (Pakistan), or UAE VAT
• Exposure to Odoo Manufacturing workflows: Bills of Materials, MRP, Work Orders, Kit assemblies
• Experience with multi-company and inter-company transaction setups in Odoo
• Knowledge of API integrations, middleware connectors, or third-party app integrations with Odoo
• Experience supporting e-commerce or delivery-focused Odoo workflows
• Prior consulting or client-facing project management experience
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for data cleaning, documentation, or productivity
